Single tooth bonding
Case background
Patient presented with a broken porcelain veneer on a upper central incisor. She was very motivated to get an aesthetically pleasing and fast solution since her social life would be affected.
Solution
Considering the bone support and the need to address this issue quickly, chairside resin veneer bonding was proposed as an immediate, fast, reliable and cost-effective solution for this tooth.
The procedure was completed in a single appointment, completely restoring the natural look of the tooth. The patient was so pleased that she asked that the tooth next to it be treated at the next appointment.
Very little, if any, natural tooth reduction is necessary and usually no anesthesia is needed.
Composite bonding may be a treatment option for you if you have white or brown spots or staining, excessive wear, or silver fillings and are not a heavy smoker or coffee drinker. Composite bonding is a less invasive and more cost-effective option than porcelain veneers. Maximum longevity does require good homecare. Dr Lisul is always happy to discuss both options.
